Selects one of six antennas to a rig (or six rigs to one antenna) 1.8-30 MHz HF coverage 2 kW PEP / 1 kW CW handling Works with 50 or 75 ohm systems Unused terminals auto-grounded for static, lightning-surge and RF protection SO-239 connectors throughout
Strengths

Six ports in a compact box; auto-grounds unused terminals; healthy 2 kW rating; flexible antenna-or-rig switching.

Weaknesses

HF-only (1.8-30 MHz); single-knob means no simultaneous connections; surge grounding depends on a good station ground. MFJ ceased manufacturing in 2024, so confirm availability.

Verdict

A practical six-way HF switch for stations juggling several antennas, with unused ports grounded to protect idle radios.

The MFJ-1701 is a six-position HF antenna switch (1.8-30 MHz) rated 2 kW PEP, usable to route six antennas to one rig or six rigs to one antenna. Unused terminals are automatically grounded for static, surge and RF protection.

For a matrix that also selects transceivers see the MFJ-1700C, or the four-way MFJ-1704.
